The Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology combines combines classical integrative concepts of whole animal and organ physiology with research that studies physiology at the cellular and molecular level. The goal is to use research to improve human health. The department works closely with other departments and research centers in the School of Medicine to achieve this goal.
