American Turners Annual Reports 1855-1858, 1871-1966

The American Turners published an annual report to inform its members about the activities of the national organization. Each report included the president's report, financial information, information about national officers and committees,the Normal College of the American Gymnastic Union, and statistical information about the individual societies. The reports in the collection for the 1870s are primarily treasurer's reports. The reports were printed in German prior to 1919. The 1919-20 report was printed in both German and English, and subsequent reports were printed in English. After 1966 the National Council issued a less-detailed annual report that appeared in the American Turner Topics.
