The Indiana University School of Medicine began offering dermatology courses in the early 1900s and established the Department of Dermatology in 1963. The mission of the department is to deliver the highest quality diagnosis and treatment to its patients, to educate the next generation of doctors, and to expand patient-based research to develop more effective treatments.
