Indiana's Obesity Epidemic Weighs Heavily on Policymakers

Abstract

This issue brief reviews the prevalence and consequences of obesity, discusses factors that contribute to obesity for the entire population and for specific groups, reviews some recent public health initiatives to combat this problem, and provides some thoughts for policymakers to consider.
