Improvement Plan for the First Year Experience

Abstract

The Foundations of Excellence™ in the First College Year project was launched on September 5, 2003 with funding from The Atlantic Philanthropies and Lumina Foundation for Education. Chancellor Charles Bantz appointed a task force on teaching and learning, charging the group with studying potential for doubling the number of baccalaureate degrees awarded at IUPUI by 2010. The report of that task force is now, along with this Foundations Action Plan, the foundation for the work of the Council on Retention and Graduation.
