Planning and Institutional Improvement, Office of the Vice Chancellor

Mission Statement: To develop, integrate, and continuously improve institutional planning, implementation strategies, evaluation, and improvement activities at IUPUI.
Goals: To work with campus and school administrators, faculty, students, and community representatives to:
- Clarify, prioritize, and communicate broadly IUPUI's vision, mission and goals.
- Enable all academic and administrative units to develop mission, vision, and goals statements aligned with those of the campus.
- Link appropriate evaluative mechanisms to campus goals and implementation strategies.
- Provide information resources that enable the campus and individual units to improve processes and outcomes continuously.
- Derive key indicators of institutional effectiveness and provide periodic reports to internal and external constituents.
- Derive, prioritize, recommend, and assist in implementing improvements based on evaluative findings.
This Office includes the Vice Chancellor’s immediate staff, the IUPUI Economic Model Office (EMOD), the Office of Information Management and Institutional Research (IMIR), the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE), and the Testing Center (TC).
