    Walter J. Daly was the fourth Chairman of the Board of the Department of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine from 1970 through 1983. He received his B.A. through the University in 1955, he joined the faculty in 1962, and later became a full-time professor in 1968. Daly held the seventh person to hold the positions of both the Dean of the IU School of Medicine and as Director of the IU Medical Center. He retired from his positions at IU in 1995. He is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine in the fields of Internal Medicine and in Pulmonary Disease.
